Task description and requirements

The Role
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in setting up and optimizing private cloud automation infrastructures. You will be responsible for implementing automated VM deployments within an on-premise VMware (VCF: vSphere, NSX) environment, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
This role requires a proven track record in private cloud automation – certifications alone are not sufficient.
Key Skills & Experience Required
Private Cloud & VMware: Strong experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (vSphere, NSX, etc.)
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Expertise in Terraform, Ansible, GitOps, Vault, IPAMs
Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in Python, Go, Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript
Containerization: Kubernetes (including Helm & Operators)
Event-Driven Automation: Webhooks, automation workflows, and cloud orchestration
Security & Best Practices: Experience implementing cloud security standards
Monitoring & Logging (Optional): Grafana, ELK Stack, CheckMK
Soft Skills
Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach
Agile mindset – ability to collaborate with multiple small teams
Excellent documentation and communication skills
