Job Description: OpenStack Core Developer for SAP Cloud Infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced OpenStack Core Developer to support the development and enhancement of Nova and Cinder services in an enterprise cloud environment. The goal of this project is to migrate VMware-based virtualized pods to KVM pods within the SAP Cloud Infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities:

- Develop and enhance features for OpenStack Nova and Cinder services, focusing on VMware backends.
- Maintain and operate Nova and Cinder services to ensure high availability and performance.
- Design and implement Kubernetes Helm charts for seamless deployments.
- Set up monitoring solutions using Prometheus and Grafana to optimize system performance.

Your Profile:

- Strong programming skills in Python (Go is a plus, but Python is mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
- Deep expertise in OpenStack Nova, Cinder, and OpenStack upstream development.
- Proficiency with Kubernetes and Linux administration.

Additional Details:

- 100% Remote, with a preference for candidates based in Eastern European Timezone.
- Workload: Preferably full-time, but part-time can be considered for exceptional candidates.
- Languages: English is mandatory, German is a plus.
- Project Duration: Starting from 06/2025, Planned until 30.06.2026.
