Task description and requirements

For our client we are looking for a consultant innovation / energy trends (m/f/d), starting in March, 2-3 days per week, 100% remote.


Your tasks:

• Consult the client regarding topics such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), hydrogen (green & blue) and or Biogas, covering the policies (regulations and legislations), technology developments, infrastructure developments, electricity & commodity markets, and business model designs in the EU
• Within the scope of the further development of the client, adding new content and refining/ tailoring existing information in line with business needs in order to enhance the value of the platform. 
• Asses risks or opportunities on the topics of renewable molecules, low carbon power generation, carbon capture and storage based 
• Layout the key KPIs that need to be monitored in order to identify a threshold/tipping point when a point becomes impactful. 
• Creation of a framework that enables updating of triggers and proposed actions in a systematic manner. Creation and updating of an overview of the potential impact on client's portfolio and the supporting hypotheses behind these.
• Development of the final product 
• Development of the framework based on different information sources, for example via expert interviews,  external service providers, research into energy and market documents.
• Creation of the information materials for users with key messages and explanations 
• Preparation for online workshops on specific topics for the clients business units 
• Providing professional consultancy to the Innovation Manager who is responsible for the Area on specific content in the topic of top management communication and internal innovation communication


Your qualifications:

• Knowledge of and experience with trends and developments in the energy realm, including the underlying regulations and legislations
• Experience in business development and / or working in innovation
• Ideally experience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hydrogen (green & blue) and or Biogas
• Very good English skills, German nice to have
