Cybersecurity Engineer – Freelance / Contract – 100% Remote

looking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to take the lead in monitoring and improving the security of our products. This role is fully remote, offering the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies across cloud, embedded systems, and software security.

Your Responsibilities
Lead cybersecurity efforts to ensure our products meet high security standards.
Define and implement security procedures, supporting a Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) and Security-by-Default (SbD) principles.
Perform code reviews, penetration testing, and security audits to identify vulnerabilities.
Develop secure APIs and microservices to enhance product security.
Coach and train development teams on security best practices, setting up a Security Champions program.
Identify and report security risks, providing technical guidance on mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with development teams on secure architecture, cryptographic implementations, and secure coding practices.

Your Profile
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Strong programming experience in at least one of the following:
     C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Perl, Ruby, Kotlin, C#, Golang, Bash/Zsh.
Extensive cybersecurity expertise, including penetration testing, risk analysis, and secure software development.
Deep understanding of web and network security, including protocol hardening and secure coding.
Ability to define security guidelines and frameworks for development teams.
Fluent in English (German is a plus).


100% remote role – work from anywhere.
Long-term engagement (minimum 18 months).
