Task description and requirements

Hello, I am Alina Pullen, a photographer capturing love in all forms. My creative business came to life during the pandemic, after the birth of my son. My work encompasses the views of motherhood in the UK, the stories of mothers, and the mother's point of view. When I became a mother, I found myself in a dark and lonely place. In a foreign country, without friends or family, I had to figure out how to keep a little human alive and also how to be the new person I was. My body was different, my identity changed, and my whole worldview was new. I felt like the earth was moving underneath my feet and there was nothing that I was certain about. Internet and parenting books overwhelmed me, my body felt painful and completely foreign to me, I felt like I lost myself and would never find my center again. That's when I turned to photography and started my healing process with some raw motherhood self-portraits of my nursing my son. That's how my first in-depth photography project, "Matrescence," was born. Since then, I have captured and connected with many mothers feeling a similar loss in their process of becoming a mother, telling their stories and helping them see the beauty from my perspective.

Business Values:
Love for people, love for life in all its forms, seeing beauty in everything, and putting humanity above everything else. Kindness, inclusivity, human connection and motherhood experiences are at the center of my business. I focus on the bonds we form and capture the angles that tell the story, making the subject its hero. The business believes in the sustainability of both work and relationships.

Role Description
This being a unique creative photography business, calls for a unique, unusual role to support me. Over the past months I have been feeling a pull to focus on more creative work in motherhood and branding, so it led me to the idea of hiring a freelance partner, who would play, essentially, the role of an agent. Being an unconventional and out-of-the-box thinker, I decided to step forward and create a role for an agent myself.

I am looking for a creative individual with the skills and experience necessary to reach out, connect, and negotiate with clients and businesses that would be interested in my vision as a motherhood, portrait and branding photographer. The Freelance Creative Representative will have knowledge of the business landscape of brands and private clients looking for natural and strikingly human visual representation, creative photography that would fit with Alina Pullen's brand. The job would involve using your existing network, building new relationships, and networking to find suitable clients for Alina Pullen consistently. This job is about being creative and thinking outside the box, yet having a solid understanding of the market, business landscape, and good practices.

This role doesn't require any admin work like contracts, invoices, or PA duties at all (I do all that), this is mainly a sales/business relations/networking role.

Practicalities:
This is a job for a freelancer. This job doesn't have a set number of hours. We may have an hour of catch up weekly, other than that, it is about how you spend your time finding leads and getting me set up to work for clients. This being said, this is a commission-only paid job. I can cover some expenses on top of that, but generally, this would work like the agency-based model, where you, in the role of the agent, would take the commission from the final fee for my job. The rate is negotiable depending on experience and network you have at present.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate would be someone who shares and understands the values of my business. They would be sincerely invested in finding the right matches for my business aligning with its vision and values. The ideal candidate will have a personable approach to finding the right jobs, maintain a professional attitude, and use initiative to ensure the success of the partnerships that will be fostered. They would have a true passion for representing an artist and would have the skills, understanding, and experience of booking the appropriate jobs for the artist. They would love learning and trying new things and finding creative out-of-the-box solutions when things aren't straightforward. They would be comfortable working completely independently in their own time, wherever they are in the world, as long as they have the understanding and connection to clients in London Area (UK) for the artist to be booked with. The ideal candidate would be comfortable with open and honest communication, as well as keeping the artist updated and aware of anything relevant to their work and client relationships.
