Personal summary
In short, my main positive attributes are as follows: High ability in conducting high-level research in renewable energy systems and membrane-based (polymeric) separation/treatment processes such as membrane distillation (MD), electrodialysis (ED), etc. High experience in transport in porous media, e.g., membranes, gas diffusion layer, catalyst layer, etc. Profound expertise in analyzing crystal structures and formations related to fouling and scaling on membrane surfaces, along with effective strategies to mitigate these issues. Extensive experience in the fields of thermal management strategies of PEMFCs, thermal-based water treatment technologies, HVAC, battery recycling, etc. High Experience in CFD analysis skills, geometric stack optimization, and a passion for complex problem-solving. Solid experience in resource recovery, e.g., lithium recycling. Solid background in various numerical simulation techniques at various scales (microscopic, mesoscopic, macroscopic) and various modeling approaches such as Physics-Informed Neural Networks (PINNs). Ability to work with different modeling software and programming languages. Demonstrated experience in preparing and writing research proposals to raise external research funding (more than five academic and industrial proposals for international funds). Acknowledged as a talent by both the Royal Academy of Engineering in the UK and the U.S. Department of Science. A history of publishing in top-tier journals within the relevant fields (more than 21 papers in high-ranked journals). Ability to work independently as well as part of a team and with experience supervising MSc. And Ph.D. students. Extensive teaching experience in various academic courses, e.g., Fluid Mechanics, Heat and Mass Transfer, Statics, Air Conditioning and Cooling Systems, Vehicle Air Conditioning and Heating Systems, at prestigious universities in both Iran and China. Extensive experience in serving as a guest editor for various special issues and peer-reviewing papers as an invited reviewer for high-ranked journals. Over the past decade, my research has focused on various aspects of membrane-based separation/treatment technologies (MD and ED), renewable energy systems, transport phenomena in porous media, and hybrid sustainable processes. Specifically, my work has centered on the fabrication of novel membranes as well as modeling and simulation of membrane-based desalination/separation technologies at different levels from phenomenological (microscopic, mesoscopic, and macroscopic scales) to system dynamics, with a particular emphasis on the transport of flow through the membranes and membrane modification to enhance performance. Recently, I've begun employing physics-informed neural networks (PINNs) to model phenomena like fouling and scaling in desalination systems and predict the performance of renewable energy systems. Furthermore, my focus encompasses developing a green process that integrates power generation, gas/liquid separation, and the crystallization of valuable materials. Throughout my career, I have published extensively over 21 in high-ranked journals/conferences and have one patent (CN-patent) recently granted by the China Intellectual Property Administration. In addition to serving as a guest editor for special issues and reviewing papers for several journals, I have had the privilege of teaching at universities in both Iran and China. At Piam Nour University in Iran and Wuhan University of Technology in China, I instructed a variety of courses for both undergraduate and graduate students.
