Personal summary

I had my start as a web developer by working in finance for Selftrade stockbroker house in Canary Wharf. There learned the ropes while I worked mainly on the updates to their web site. Then I had the opportunity to build the company's intranet from scratch, and that really took my skills to the next level. Linux web server, PHP/JavaScript/CSS web development, MySQL databases, the lot. After 3 years there I moved to a higher education giant, London School of Economics. During my time there I improved my skills in regards to PHP and JavaScript frameworks such as Laravel and Angular, CSS, MySQL, Linux web server administration, SEO, WordPress and so on. I also learned a lot about project management and Agile methodologies. I felt there was more opportunity to learn while freelancing, so after 3 years there, when an opportunity arose to work with Prince's Foundation, I took it, and absolutely loved it. Doing that and other freelance jobs, I learned a lot about working with various clients, managing projects and managing/supervising other web developers. So after a few years I shifted from lone freelancing, to running a digital agency. I knew that with a team behind me, I can help nearly anyone non technical to deliver their business ideas into the digital workspace. In my most recent job I managed a team of 4 developers, and all technical aspects of running an online business at Social Value Exchange. From here I expect to work with even larger teams and handle even more compelling challenges.
