Personal summary

Very experienced, significant technical work in many fields including safety critical, embedded, real time, security, consumer and some GUI work. A very large amount of management from team leading through to program managing, very much a ‘hands on’ type of manager wanting and enjoying significant technical involvement not just making number match. Much of my career has been spent with international teams (including India, China, Taiwan, South Korea, USA, Canada, Poland, France, Germany, Romania, Sweden, Finland and Denmark. This has exposed me to a wide variety of management and engineer styles, motivations and expectations. I am fully experienced in the waterfall, V model and even spiral models of development. My preferred methods are agile – I am a scrum master and a SAFe scrum master, experienced at helping teams and even product owners and management through the transition and improving the teams. My preferred approach for many situations is KANBAN as it is very focused on delivering the most important thing fastest. I have also worked significantly with pair programming, test driven development and more recently MOB programming (which I have executed very successfully remotely).
