Personal summary

My name's Caroline Gatti, and I'm a qualified and highly experienced freelance instructional designer, with a multi-faceted professional background encompassing education, professional training, business and the military. I haven't just studied the theories, models and principles behind learning and instructional design, but I've clocked up many, many years of practical, in-the-field experience.   And that experience has been garnered in various parts of the world! Though British-born, I've also lived and worked in Italy and the Middle East, and am fully bilingual English (UK) and Italian! ​​​​​​​​​​ Credit for my unusually wide range of professional experiences must be given to collaborators and employers who have put their trust in me, offering me a series of wonderful opportunities. Thanks to them, I've been able to develop a truly wide variety of skills, acquired in both academic and corporate contexts.  Of course, I can't deny that having a problem-solving, love-a-challenge, can-do attitude has been a great advantage to me - which is just as well - the last couple of decades have seen expectations around instructional designers evolve from being specialists in one specific area to being multi-tasking, multi-skilled jacks of all trades, and masters of every single one of them!
